Ngày Không Còn Mẹ: The Preparation (2017) tells the story of In-gyu, a 7-year-old boy trapped in the body of a man in his 30s. His mother, Ae-soon, has dedicated 30 years of her life to taking care of her son, making her an old and extremely difficult mother. One day, Ae-soon realizes that her time with her mentally challenged son is running out. Facing the prospect of leaving In-gyu behind, Ae-soon is filled with worry. To prepare for a whole new future for her son, Ae-soon starts making a list of things to do – seemingly simple tasks but incredibly unfamiliar and challenging for a late bloomer like In-gyu. In-gyu's late blooming jouey, guided by his devoted mother, brings laughter and tears to the audience in the final days of 2017.
