Võ Sĩ Giác Đấu: Maximus Deximus Meridias, a skilled general of the powerful Roman Empire, is loved by the people for his bravery and leadership. Before the Emperor Marcus Aurelius passes away, he chooses Maximus as his successor instead of his son, Commodus, a power-hungry prince. This decision shocks the entire kingdom as it goes against the tradition of the emperor's son inheriting the throne. This event puts Maximus and his family in great danger. Despite his efforts to protect his loved ones, Maximus is too late to save his wife and child from a brutal fate.
